Loslassen – Befriedigungsverzicht

On one occasion there was no worldly presence, but on the consciousness level, there was an encounter with a more rarified luciferic presence that promised great power if one went into agreement with it. When this was refused it retreated. This occurred at what might be analogously referred to as a high altitude fail/pass test. One could see and know that Christ had passed through that temptation and had also refused it. [...] It was also obvious that not every entity that had reached this pass/fail test had refused the temptation. In itself the temptation was craftily presented nonverbally as an understanding that 'now that you realize that you are beyond all karma, you are free, without any consequence to reign with great power because there are no consequences for your actions, and no longer are you subject to consequences'.2

"Bist du Gottes Sohn, so stürze dich von hier hinab;

Luciferian temptation

  • There emerged a nonlinear state best described as a condition consequent to a greatly expanded context of Reality. In the silence, unasked, there was heard and recognized a silent message that said,
"Now that you are beyond all karmic answerability or accountability, even the limitations of personal love, all power is yours over others – own it – take it – use it, for there are no consequences." [...]
The temptation was refused by the Higher Knowingness that the temptation was a false promise because the Ultimate Reality is innately the Source of all Power. The Self is innately the Power and has no need to claim it as an acquisition. Discovery of the Presence of God, S. 237, 2007
⚠ Caveat See Power vs. Truth, January 2013

  • Temptation is the reemergence of the old pattern which presents itself repeatedly until a decision is finalized and resolute. An unresolved karmic error tends to recur in such a way that it can be recognized and its underlying positionality identified. A most useful approach is to investigate possible role reversal – one is the victim in this lifetime of what one perpetrated on others in past lives, and now the ripples on the water are merely returning as the waves of this lifetime. • The safeguards that protect one along the way from the temptations that arise consist of forewarning plus humility, gratitude, and, importantly, respect. One becomes grateful for the truth and its fruits and respectful of its origin. The integrous are also respectful of the possible pitfalls and temptations that may be encountered; therefore, this respect is reflected by alertness to such limitations. Humility is paradoxically a quality of respect. Discovery of the Presence of God. Devotional Nonduality, S. 141, 2007

  • One is not "forced" to feel resentment by a negative memory, nor does one have to buy into a fearful thought about the future. These are only options. The mind is like a television set running its various channels for selection, and one does not have to follow any particular temptation of thought. One can fall into the temptation of feeling sorry for oneself, or feeling angry or worried. The secret attraction of all these options is that they offer an inner payoff or a secret satisfaction that is the source of the attraction of the mind's thoughts. • Along the spiritual pathway, blocks and temptations appear, as do doubts and fears. Classically, they have been termed the "tests" that arise from ego, which does not relish relinquishment of dominion. These are overcome by reaffirmation of goals and commitment, as well as by reinforcing counterbalancing principles such as dedication, tenacity, constancy, courage, conviction, and intention. The greater the challenge, the greater the development of inner strength, decision, and determination. By persistence and discipline, it can be seen that temptation is an option to merely refuse rather than an impulse that calls for attack or negation. • One rises to a certain level of awareness and consciousness, and that summons forth a test – it's traditionally called a test – a test or a temptation or a challenge. When you make a spiritual statement about your spiritual reality, it's almost as if you pull up from your own unconscious a challenge to that statement. • Those energies which oppose God, deny God and would rather have control of you and your beloved ones did dominate this planet until the late 1980s. Then, for reasons not completely and totally known, the consciousness level jumped at 207. As you evolve spiritually, the power – not your power – the power of your energy field, your aura, whatever you call it, becomes more and more powerful and begins to dominate and that which used to dominating and controlling until very recent times is therefore threatened by every spiritual aspirant. Everyone who reaches unconditional love then diminishes the domain of that which is non-integrous, diminishes its control. Consequently, one becomes the target for that which is non-integrous and would like to entrap you in its control. Sedona Seminar Realization of the Self: Final Moments, 3 DVD set, 14. • Question: How could people who're up at 540 or something fall for the seduction of fame, money, power, material goods, trappings?
Answer: It's because something was missing in their spiritual education. Sedona Seminar Realization of the Self: Final Moments, 3 DVD set, 14. December 2002

  • As you are devoted, you will be challenged. There will come a time when you actually realize you are being challenged by the opposite of that which you are. When that comes up, refuse it. It’s your karmic entitlement to refuse the negative. You are karmicly entitled to say, "Get thee hence, Satan!" Sedona Seminar God vs. Science. Limits of the Mind, 3 DVD set, 17. February 2007

  • Questioner: My question is about wolves in sheep's clothing [LoC 120], as we've been talking about today. […] If they're ever disguised as a spiritual aspirant. And, if it's ever okay to deal with people under 200 when you feel like...
Answer: Alright […] they could be wearing a sheep's clothing of a spiritual aspirant, but inside they're really demonic and evil?
Questioner: You always warn 'stay away from under 200, stay away from under 200'.
Answer: I think I [...] to avoid. Jesus Christ said don't oppose evil, avoid it.
Questioner: I've had a lot of interesting people come into my life – lately – and I've made exceptions because I didn't know how to say 'no'. […] it feels unloving and unkind to say 'no' when somebody is in desperation and yet, it's such a drain.
Answer: That's, that's, that's a test. You have to know how to be able to say 'no' without feeling guilty about it. That's a test along the way.
    Questioner: I said 'yes'.
Answer: That which is negative will try to cling to you and hang on you, just like the crabs in a pail. Crabs in a pail. As one tries to get out and starts to go up the side of the pail, the other crabs pull them down. So you have to know when you have to walk on – through the swamp. See? People say: 'Help me, help me, help me, help me'. There's a level at which you have to help them. Then there's a level at which you have to walk on. See. You know 'you've got God, you've got your relationship with God. What do you want with me?' You can intuitively detect that they merely mean to pull you down with them. In a parasitic dependency which they juice you for your energies. They used to be called electric and magnetic. There was a psychic lady in town that was pretty smart. She would call them electric and magnetic. And the electric would give you energy and the magnetic would, like, pull your energy. And she divided people to those who would pull your energy and those that give you energy. People below your own level of consciousness will be pulling energy from you.

Temptations on the spiritual path – Exemplified by Jesus of Nazareth

Jesus' temptation on the mountain, painting by Duccio di Buoninsegna

Jesus who had fasted in the desert for 40 days was faced with trials of temptation:
He said to each of the three temptations "No!" refusing Lucifer with:
Get behind me, Satan! Matthew 16, 23

Do not put the Lord your God to the test. Luke 4, 1-13 (NT)

The essential tests for all who are on the spiritual path are

The task is to deal with these ever advancing themes in a balanced non attached way:

  1. Money/Knowledge – Survival / sustenance,
  2. Sex – Bonding / procreation,
  3. Power-Force – Community / material world and
  4. Death – Realm of souls / spirit world.

Levels

  1. Individual – Become fruitful.
  2. Couple, family, colleagues, relations – Multiply.
  3. Society, nation(s), earthly life – Subdue the earth.
  4. Spiritual realm, hereafter
(↓)

Topics

  1. Money as in survival, knowledge, to be right, competition
  2. Sex, eros, fame, glory, glamour, popularity
    • In this respect Hawkins recommends to read Alice Bailey's book Glamour: A World Problem [LoC 560].
  3. Power vs. force; influence on society, abuse of power by dominating others for worldly gain on ego due to a lack of humility and willingness to serve
  4. Death, willfully challenging God and life, risking one's physical life, megalomania, God delusion

Temptations exemplified by the fasting Jesus of Nazareth

  1. If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.
  2. Worship me and all of the worlds will be worshipping you. [refers to level 2 and 3]
  3. Throw yourself down from this tower and the angels of the Lord will guard you carefully.

Four centric developmental levels

  1. Duty round = Unconscious heaven – Gaining money/knowledge [Under/above LoC 200] – Generally positively welcomed
  2. Duty round = Unconscious hell – Learning to love [LoC 200-499] – Generally positively welcomed
    _________________________________________________________________________________
  3. Voluntary round = Conscious hell – Differentiating power from force, gaining wisdom [Above LoC 500] – Generally feared
  4. Voluntary round = Conscious heaven – Accepting death and transformation [Above LoC 600] – Generally feared and refused
