Es gibt W-Fragen (Wer? Was? Wann? Wo? Warum? Wie? Wozu?), geschlossene Fragen, offene Fragen, alternative Fragen (Multiple-Choice-Fragen, Entweder-Oder-Fragen, Sowohl-als-Auch-Fragen), Gegenfragen, suggestive Fragen, rhetorische Fragen, Informationsfragen, interdisziplinäre Fragen, Positionsfragen, Kontrollfragen, Kompetenzfragen, evaluative Fragen, kritische Fragen, Angriffs-
fragen, provokative Fragen, polarisierende Fragen, verneinte Fragen, Hinterfra-
gungen, Gretchenfragen, Tabufragen, Sinn-, Kern- und Kardinalsfragen.

  • Wer tut etwas? Wer handelt?
  • Was geschieht?
  • Wann passiert es?
  • Wo geschieht es?
  • Warum passiert es?
  • Wie passiert es?
  • Wozu geschieht es?

☛ Fragen wirken katalysatorisch.

Wesentliche Fragen – D. Hawkins

                   Hawkins nennt folgende Kernfragen:

* WAS bin ich?
* WER bin ich?
* WIE gewahre ich / weiß ich sogar, dass ich existiere?
* WOHER komme ich?
* WAS ist der Ursprung des SELBST?
* WAS ist die Bestimmung des Selbst?
* WER ist Gott?
* WO ist Gott?

Empfehlungen im Umgang mit Fragen – D. Hawkins

Hawkins empfiehlt hinsichtlich des Fragenstellens:

  • Stelle wesentliche Fragen: WAS BIN ICH? eher noch als WER BIN ICH?
  • Stelle bevorzugt "Wie"-Fragen.
    Sie sind metazielführend.
  • Stelle keine "Warum"-Fragen.

  • Was ist mein tiefinnerster Wert? [What is my deepest innermost value?]

(↓)

Hinweis Minute 12:12:

Essentielle Fragen an gesellschaftliche Katalysatoren

  • vergeben wirst
  • und lernen wirst
  • und eines Tages zu ihnen zurückkehren wirst,
  • um ihnen engagiert beim Erkennen zu helfen?"

Gefährliche Ideen

Das bekannte US-amerikanischen Internet-Forum Edge The World Question Center stellte 2006 Edge in the News: 2006 Annual Question die Jahresfrage "What is your dangerous idea?", übersetzt "Was ist Ihr gefährlicher Gedanke?"

te. Vorzugsweise beleuchtete Sokrates Konzepte, in de-

Wissensbereichen.

Die Fragen (Probleme) lieben

[Sei duldsam gegen alles], was in deinem Herz unbewältigt ist,

⚑ Was sagt die Stimme meiner Seele in diesem Augenblick?

D. Hawkins, Sedona Seminar Emotions and Sensations, 17. April 2004

Vier zentrale Fragen – Immanuel Kant

matischer Hinsicht versucht.

Unbequeme Fragen – Robert Stein

⚠ Caveat See Power vs. Truth, January 2013

⚠ Caveat See Power vs. Truth, January 2013

  • Ask anything but the hypothetical. We don't answer hypothetical questions because they are not real.
    Source unknown

(↓)

No quick fixes on the expectation of finding an ultimate "answer"

  • The "answer," we seem to perennially believe, will, once found, allow us to solve the problems of the economy, crime, national health, or politics. But so far, we haven't solved any of these problems at all. […]
The obstacle is that we don't have the proper tools to interpret the significance of our data. We haven't yet asked the right questions.
Power vs. Force. The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior, "Introduction", S. 25, Hay House, February 2002

(↓)

The law of the universe is economy.

No extraneous events

  • Ultimately, the mind arrives at epistomology [LoC 475], the branch of philosophy that examines the question of how – and to what degree – man really knows anything. Such philosophical discourse may seem either erudite or irrelevant, but the questions they pose are at the very core of human experience.
Power vs. Force. The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior, "Introduction", S. 28, Hay House, February 2002

Chaos theory, critical point analysis, attractor patterns, M-fields

  • [T]he question and the answer are merely two sides of one coin, and that one can’t pose a question unless the answer already exists – otherwise there would be no pattern that the question could be formulated from.
Power vs. Force. The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior, chapter 15 "Genius and the Power of Creativity", S. 197, Hay House, February 2002

  • Ask "How am I aware or even know that I exist?". That question is the best that can be acted upon for it leads directly and nonverbally to the ever present Reality. Identify with that quality, capacity, or condition of ever present subjectivity which is experienced as an underlying awareness. It is consciousness itself. Identify with that consciousness instead
of with the 'what' it is consicous about. That is the direct route to the Self. It is actually the only practice that leads di-
rectly through the doorway. There is nothing to know, to learn, or to remember. It is merely necessary to focus, fixate, meditate, contemplate, look at, and realize that the substrate and source of existence is the radical subjectivity of the Presence of God as the Light of Consciousness. I. Reality and Subjectivity, 2003

  • '''Exploration is innate to mankind, and its highest levels lead to spiritual inquiry. This brings up the questions of
    • Who am I?
    • What am I?
    • Where did I come from?
    • What is the origin and destiny of the self?
    • Who and where is God.

  • Question: Many questions that arise, therefore, are not really answerable?
Answer: That is true. That is because they are often just tautologies. They merely mean what they are defined to
mean but have no corollary in existence. The mind presumes that a mentation which seems logical and intellec-
tually reasonable must have a concordant reality. This is a major source of fallacy in human life.
    I. Reality and Subjectivity, S. 126, 2003

  • The term 'cause' is an abstract hypothesis, a tautology, an intellectualization which has no concordant substrate in
Reality. It is at best an operational supposition to satisfy the mind's requirement for an 'explanation'. Fallacy arises
out of the mind's proclivity to ask the redundant and fatal question, "Why?".
We have stated elsewhere that there is no 'why' to anything in Reality and, in fact, no 'why' can be answered and
still stay within Reality. All answers to "why" questions are intrinsically fallacious as they require a jump from veri-
fiable observables to hypothetical suppositions which are all mentations.
    I. Reality and Subjectivity, S. 220-221, 2003

  • In spite of the massive accumulation of knowledge that man has acquired over the centuries, uncertainty still domi-
nates all philosophical and intellectual discussions, and spiritual teachings are considered to be belief systems
rather than provable facts. Therefore, a thorough investigation of the matter is of general interest to a mankind
that still asks the basic questions:
    ➤ "Who are we?
➤ Where do we come from?
➤ And where do we go?"
Despite the purported erudition of the great intellects and philosophers of the past, the questions still remain unans-
wered because the questions asked cannot be answered by the mind at all. They can only be discovered by delving
into its source-consciousness without which the mind could not exist and without which would not even know that he
has a mind. The nature of consciousness itself – how it arose, what it is, and how it functions-becomes apparent from
the study of its evolution. Truth vs. Falsehood. How to Tell the Difference, S. 28, 2005

Transcending question:

How am I aware that I exist?

  • Ask, How am I aware or even know that I exist? That question is the best that can be acted upon, for
it leads directly and non-verbally to the ever-present Reality. Identify with that quality, capacity, or condition of ever-present subjectivity, which is experienced as an underlying awareness. It is consciousness itself. Identify with that consciousness instead of with the "what" it is concerned about. That is the direct route to the Self. It is actually the only practice that leads directly through the doorway. There is nothing to know, to learn, or to remember. It is merely necessary to focus, fixate, meditate, con-
template, and look at – and to realize that the source and substrate of existence is the radical subjectivity of the Presence of God as the Light of Cosciousness. Dissolving the Ego, Realizing the Self. Contemplations from the Teachings
    of David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.
, edited by Scott Jeffrey, S. 83, Hay House, August 2011

  • "Why-ness" will lead you downward rather than upward. It will lead you to greater and greater illusion, because if there is no legitimate answer to "why", the mind will create a fallacious one and your mind will be filled with fallaci-
ous answers to "whys". A "why" is hypothetical. That which is hypothetical has no existence in reality. The hy-
pothetical does not exist in the real, therefore you cannot make spiritual progress by asking the question "why", you
can only go downward into further and further illusion, because the ego will manufacture an answer to the "why" in order to maintain its hold over your mind. You have to let go of being addicted to the "why-ness".
The way to get rid of "why-ness" is to surrender "not-knowingness" to God. To become enlightened you don't have to
know anything. The willingness to surrender oneself to God from moment to moment, you don't have to know anything. There's not a single "why" you need to know, not a one.
Sedona Seminar God Transcendent and Immanent, CD 4 of 4, track 1, November 2002

  • Any spiritual truth can be like a mantra or a subject for study. "Who am I?" is a famous one. I prefer "What am I", be-
cause "who" makes you think you are an identity. As you get closer to your own reality, the "who" disappears and
"what" appears instead. What is it that thinks I am a "who" in the first place?!

Foregoing the tautology of why questions

  • You accept with humility the human condition. You don't have to personalize it. [...] It is dumb to keep asking questions why is everything the way it is. It is obvious that it is God's Will that it be that way. Yes?! Just surrender it to the Creator. Cottonwood Satsang Q&A, 1 DVD, 15. January 2011

Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.
For whoever asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, the door is opened.
Or who is the man among you, who when his son asks him for bread, why, will he hand him a stone?
Or if he should ask him for fish, why, will he hand him a snake?
If therefore you who err, know how to give good gifts to your sons, how much more will your
Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?

Shortened unsourced quote version:

"I would rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned."

  • I can live with doubt, and uncertainty, and not knowing. I think it's much more interesting to live not knowing than to have answers which might be wrong. I have approximate answers and possible beliefs and different degrees of certainty about different things. But Im not absolutely sure of anything, and there are many things I dont know anything about, such as whether it means anything to ask why were here, and what the question might mean. I might think about it a little bit; if I can't figure it out, then I go onto something else. But I don't have to know an answer. I dont feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in the mysterious universe without having any purpose, which is the way it really is, as far as I can
tell – possibly. It doesn't frighten me. • There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand the world. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

    2. When did you stop singing?
    3. When did you stop being enchanted by stories?
    4. When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?
Where we have stopped dancing, singing, being enchanted by stories, or finding comfort in silence is where we have experience the loss of soul. Dancing, singing, storytelling, and silence are the four universal healing salves.

  • You are neither the body nor the mind, but something different from that. You say, 'My mind is going crazy,' or 'That blew my mind.' That means, you know that you are different from your mind. This is what is called Jnana Yoga, the path of realizing the true Self.
    Constantly detach yourself.
Sri Ramana Maharshi always questioned, ‘Who is hungry? Who is thirsty? Who is unhappy? Who is upset? Who has that desire? Who wants to do this?’
Question yourself always. Then you will know that there is something that urges you to do all these various things. When you recognize that something is doing everything and you are the witness. Instinctively, Gretchen had identified Mephistopheles as a negative, unloving, corrupting force whereas Faust defended him complacently.

  • Gretchen's direct core crunch questions to Faust: "Tell me, how do you feel about religion?" […]

Teaching systems Trivium and Quadrivium – Questioning in proper sequence

The classical seven liberal arts comprise two logically built teaching systems:
  1. the basic Trivium (the three ways) followed by
  2. the advanced Quadrivium (the four ways).

The liberal arts are based on abstract book knowledge. In ancient times illiterate sklaves were meant for handwork and denied literacy
based education. Only free citizens were given access to education.
Note: 'Free' as in 'liberal' stems from the Latin word 'liber', which means book.

Trivium (Three roads crossing) – Language
The Trivium is an inclusive basic teaching system which was
primarily developed by the Greek philosopher Aristotle.
The proper sequence is essential as dis-order will distort the recognition of truth.

Crowdsourcing – Stephen Hawking and Oprah Winfrey

French philosopher, mathematician and early political scientist Nicolas de Condorcet (1743-1794) discovered: The
power of collective thinking supersedes individual thought processing.
He proved that a group of minds was more
often correct than a single mind thinking independently.

The British physicist and mathematician Stephen Hawking, Ph.D. authored A Brief History of Time in 1988. Suffering disabeling ALS, he holds the Lucasian chair in Mathematics at Cambridge University. Attributed as Lord of the Universe, he admitted: I don't know.
14. August 2006

Beginning July 2006 Hawking had publicly raised a survival question addressed to the Yahoo newsgroup:

See: Opinion article by Stephen Hawking, How can the human race ensure its survival?, presented by the British daily newspaper The Guardian, 3. August 2006

More than 25,000 different E-Mail responses were delivered within a period of six weeks. At the time being, this was a response record. Genius Hawking had tapped into the collective wisdom.
Humbly he admitted NOT to know the answers to the collectively relevant question he had raised.

Hawking's concerns and warnings were the following:

  • Purely technical solutions for apparent problems are as a rule not sufficient on a long term basis.
  • Improved technological measurements may have catastrophic side effects at any rate.

In November 2006 the US American talk show host Oprah Winfrey also used "crowd sourcing" addressing a Yahoo newsgroup. Her question "What would you do with $1,000 to change the life of a perfect stranger?" received
more than 31,000 responses in just a few days.

Life changing questions

Fletcher Lynd Seagull was still quite young, but already he knew that no bird had ever been so harshly treated by any Flock, or with so much injustice. [...]

"I don't care what they think. I'll show them what flying is!
I'll be a pure Outlaw, if that's the way they want it. And I'll make them so sorry."
Möwe

The voice came inside his own head [...] :

"Don't be harsh on them, Fletcher Seagull. In casting you out, the other gulls have only hurt themselves, and one day they will know this, and one day they will see what you see. Forgive them, and help them to understand." [...]

Low and calm, the voice went on within his thought, demanding an answer.

"Fletcher Lynd Seagull, do you want to fly?"
"YES, I WANT TO FLY!"
"Fletcher Lynd Seagull,
⚑ do you want to fly so much that you will forgive the Flock,
⚑ and learn,
⚑ and go back to them one day
⚑ and work to help them know?
"

There was no lying to this magniflcent skillful being, no matter how proud or how hurt a bird was Fletcher Seagull.

"I do", he said softly.
"Then, Fletch,"

that bright creature said to him, and the voice was very kind,

"let's begin with Level Flight."

Love the questions / issues – Rainer Maria Rilke

Be patient toward all that is unresolved in your heart.
Try to love the questions themselves

like locked rooms and like books written in a very foreign tongue.
Do not seek now the answers, which cannot be given to you because
you would not be able to live them.
And the point is, to live everything.
Live the questions now.
Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it,
live along some distant day into the answer.
