Als Kornkreise bezeichnet man die Flächen eines Getreidefeldes, in denen so genannte Geoglyphen auftreten mit Hilfe von Kornhalmen, die in geordneter Weise umgeknickt, gebogen oder abgemäht worden sind. Die kreisförmigen oder komplexeren Geoglyphen mit Fraktalgebilden sind in den meisten Fällen nur von erhöhter Stelle oder aus der Vogelperspektive erkennbar.

Die niedergedrückten Pflanzenhalme in den betroffe-
nen Feldarealen sind sacht wie unter Dampf umgebo-
gen, doch nicht dauerhaft beschädigt. Auffällig sind geplatzte oder ausgedehnte Wachstumsknoten. Im Nachhinein wachsen die Stengel weiter bis zur vollen Reife und werden zumeist deutlich größer als die übri-
gen Pflanzen.

Im neunten Jahrhundert glaubten die einfachen Men-
schen an die "Tempestarii", unsichtbare Wetterma-
cher, die in Wolkenschiffen aus Magonien, einem fer-
nen Ort am Himmelszelt (Weltraum), angereist kamen
und eine Art von Lösegeld von den Erdbewohnern ver-
langten, indem sie an bestimmten Orten das Erntegut auf dem Erdboden plattwalzten.
Das Dokument "Gegen die törichte Meinung der Massen über Hagel und Donner" aus dem Jahr 815 n. Chr. stammt von dem Erzbischof Agobard von Lyon (769-840), der darin ein Edikt gegen das Aufsammln von Saatgut aus Kornkreisen erlassen hatte! Das Volk war überzeugt, die "Wolkenschiffe" drückten die Getreidehalme kreisförmig nieder. Die seltsamen Kreise waren so makellos, dass kein Mensch sie hätte anfertigen können. Man glaubte auch, dass die Maßnahme der Wolkenschif-
fer die Fruchtbarkeit der Samen verbesserte, weshalb mancherorts sogar Fruchtbarkeitsriten durchgeführt, um die Arbeits-
leistung der "Wolkenschiffe" zu fördern.

Auf dem ganzen Globus gibt es zahlreiche Beschreibungen von Landschaftskreisen in Märchen und Legenden. Eine his-
torisch bedeutsame Kornkreisdarstellung mit dem Titel The Mowing-Devil stammt aus Hertfortshire in Großbritannien. Sie wurde im Jahr 1678 als Flugblatt neben weiteren Schriftstücken veröffentlicht. Kornkreise wurden seinerzeit als Werk eines mähenden Teufels betrachtet.
88 Jahre zuvor wurde bei einem Hexenprozess in Lothringen im Jahr 1590 erstmals ein Kornkreis als Beweisgegenstand dokumentiert.

In England nennt man die Kornkreise seit altersher Hexen- oder Koboldskreise ("witches circles" oder "pixies circles"), auf dem europäischen Festland sind sie als Elfenringe ("fairy rings") bekannt. Den Elfen wurde nachgesagt, die Nacht zuvor auf den niedergedrückten Getreidehalmen herumgetanzt zu haben.

Seit den frühen 80er Jahren hat sich das Kornkreis-Phänomen weltweit verstärkt bemerkbar gemacht, indem die Land-
schaftsglyphen mehrfach in kurzen Abständen in derselben Gegend erschienen. Ab 1997 trat das Phänomen der Korn-
kreise auch in mittlerweile über 50 anderen Ländern auf. Um das Jahr 2012 sind weltweit mehr als 12.000 Kornkreise
gesichtet worden, und davon über 7.000 dokumentiert worden. Allein 90 Prozent der Kornkreise der jüngeren Geschichte
traten in Südengland entlang einer Ley-Linie auf. Entlang dieser den Kelten Drachenlinie genannten Zone befinden sich
prähistorische Megalithe, Langgräber und Steinkreise wie Stonehenge, Avebury und Silbury Hill zu finden sind. In Wiltshire, dem Zentrum der Erscheinungen, erschienen im Jahr 2007 allein über 360 Kreise in der Gegend der Milk Hills. Die auffällige Häufung wird dem dortigen Grundwasservorkommen zugeschrieben.

Seit 1990 zeigten sich neben Kreisformationen zum ersten Mal auch gerade Linien in Wiltshire County im Süden Englands. Bevorzugt entstehen Kornkreise nachts gegen vier Uhr und unter feuchten Wetterbedingungen. Aus übereinstimmenden Zeugenberichte geht hervor, dass die Entstehung von Kornkreisen zusammen mit
dem Auftreten von seltsamen Lichtkugeln im Himmel begleitet wird. Es gibt dazu auch Filmaufnahmen und Hunderte von Augenzeugenberichten weltweit. Denen zufolge entstanden die Kornkreise innerhalb weniger Sekunden bis zu maximal 15 Minuten auch bei Tag und
zu allen Wetterbedingungen.

Die Kornkreis-Glyphen treten in Korn-, Mais- und Reisfel-
dern auf. Neuerdings sind auch Schnee- und Eiskreise gesichtet worden.¹

Ein Drittel der Kornkreise kommt nach übereinstimmenden Zeugenaussagen in Verbindung mit so genannten Plasmen, Lichtkugeln, Aurora borealis, heftige kurz einwirkende Mikrowellenstrahlung und starken elektomagnetischen Feldern zustande – innerhalb von nur wenigen Minuten.

☛ Einige Besucher der Formationen fühlen sich schwindlig oder unwohl, bekommen Kopfschmerzen.

☛ Andere Besucher werden schmerzfrei, fühlen sich ausgesprochen wohl und aufgeladen.
Es traten sogar Heilungen von Krebsleiden auf.

Die Spaßvögel Doug und Dave, zwei britische Rentner, behaupteten, seit den 2000er Jahren nachts die Kornkreis-Bildmuster in die Felder zu treten und nahmen für sich in Anspruch, die Urheber für bereits in Bü-
chern lokal dokumentierte Kornkreise zu sein. Die Presse stellte diese Behauptung als "schlüssige Erklärung" hin. Filmteams des BBC und des japanischen Fernsehens hatten sich auf die Lauer gelegt, um Korn-
kreise bei ihrer Entstehung zu filmen. Nach zehn Tagen vergeblichen Wartens vor Ort zogen sie ab.

Die Experten sind sich inzwischen einig, dass die immer kom-
plexer werdenden Landschaftsglyphen zu weniger als 1 Prozent von Menschenhand gemacht wurden.

Crop circles are organized harmonic forms of energy comprised of light, sound and magnetism which physically manifest as geo-
