⚠ Achtung Siehe Power vs. Truth (engl.) Januar 2013

Personal avowals

  • I think kitties and dogs go to heaven. Why? Because of their calibration. That which is loving is attracted to that which is loving and if there are no kitties or dogs when I get there I am turning around and coming back. Bottom line objection to me. Astral circus

  • Avoid (and that means to not even 'dabble' with) the supernatural [paranormal phenomenons] by whatever name it calls itself. Let us realize that this world has been blessed indeed by very great spiritual teachers and teachings, all of which are complete and total, and there is no need for pseudo-teachings from 'other realms', no matter how impressively, piously, or seductively presented. I. Reality and Subjectivity, S. 262, 2003
⚠ Caveat See Power vs. Truth, January 2013

Epistle of Paul, referenced by footnote DH, PvF, S. 312, 2002:

For your conflict is not only with flesh and blood, but also with the angels, and with powers seen and unseen, with the rulers of the world of darkness, one with the evil spirits under the heavens. Ephesians 6, 12 (NT) translated by George Lamsa, A.J. Holman and Company, Philadelphia, 1957

  • Many 'spiritual' teachings which are expressed in form frequently lead to what is best termed as 'astral' realms of cons-
ciousness which in themselves can be seductive, unending, and pleasurable but they do not lead to enlightenment.
Form reinforces the illusion that there is a seeker on some sort of pathway with rungs and signposts and even 'spirit guides' positioned along the way. On the spiritual climb to the peak of Enlightenment, there actually are no entities to meet you along the way. Eye of the I From Which Nothing is Hidden, S. 129, 2001

  • Astral 'planes', like teachings, can be calibrated. There are
    • low planes (hells),
    • intermediate planes (purgatory or limbo),
    • and the higher astral planes (celestial).
These are all possible destinations of the soul or spiritual body or focus of consciousness. Each of these levels has
its own hierarchies, 'Gods', and folklore which are 'real' to the inhabitants of these planes. These may be gratifying,
even joyful and thrilling but they are not enlightenment. Eye of the I From Which Nothing is Hidden, S. 130, 2001

The surviving karmic body floats to the corresponding 'mansion in God's house':

  • Each person's energy body carries with it a historical track of patterns that persist over time and influence decisions, behavior, an the feelings of attraction or repulsion. This energy body, which is the locus of the sense of 'I', exists independently of the physical body, as anyone who has ever gone out of body will remember. This 'karmic body' is made up of the collected tracks of positionalities. The field of consciousness is an infinite sea of interacting energy fields with various levels that can be calibrated. The fate of an energy body of an individual's soul is therefore similar to a floating object in space or a cork in the sea in that its innate buoyancy deter-
mines the level at which it will settle and float. The nonmaterial realms of existence are composed of energy bodies
at various levels in the frequencies of the sea of consciousness that tend to settle into realms. Each of these realms
congregates about an attractor field. When the energy body or soul, with its historical collection of frequencies and
patterns, separates from the physical body, it then gravitates to a compatible field or domain. These constitute the
post-physical life potentialities or choices between the various levels, such as hells, purgatories, limbos, or heavens. […]
All religions, however, agree that the energy body, after physical death, goes on to a fate determined by one's ac-
tions during the physical lifetime. Therefore, the fate is determined primarily by the spiritual decisions and actions
that were made, with great importance given to intention, responsibility, and the assent of the Will.

Self refuting statement

Self refuting statements, Cult FAQ, presented by NZ Cult List 1999-2015

  • It appears that no real benefit can come to a human who dabbles in the occult or astral and supernatural realms. In fact, serious harm can result. Observe the fact that even in the ordinary world of human life, ⚡ the human mind cannot tell truth from falsehood, even about simple matters. If so, what chance does the human mind have to discern the truth of falsehood of unknown entities with hidden agendas? I. Reality and Subjectivity, S. 262, 2003

  • Avoid the lure of astral realms. Beware of the wolves in sheep's clothing for they are attracted to the devotee who
is making significant progress. Do not accept anyone into your life who has not passed the calibratable level of Truth.
Keep your spiritual goal ever in awareness, no matter what the activity. Dedicate all endeavors to God.
    I. Reality and Subjectivity, S. 286, 2003

  • Low calibrations prevail in variants of New Ageism, which push credibility to the limits with glamorized claims of extra-
terrestrials, spirit guides, guardian angels, and prophesies of earth disasters. Other sources are claims of secret codes
of God hidden in various disguises such as the stones in the pyramids, the Hebrew alphabet, DNA, famous paintings,
and other imaginative obscurities. New Ageism (despite its own erroneous beliefs) is not, technically speaking, "spiri-
tual," but instead is actually "astral" in its practices and interests. Truth vs. Falsehood. How to Tell the Difference, S. 360, 2005

Astral circus – glamorization of otherworldly entities

  • The so-called 'astral circus' was at its most influential in ancient Mesopotamia. The expertise of the adepts, many of whom are still the same as they were in that era, have perfected their skills over long periods of earthly time. Like an experienced expert salesman, they intuitively pick up on a vulnerability or a weakness, especially the proneness to glamorization.
If such entities were indeed what they claim to be, they would have long ago evolved on to the celestial realms.
Discovery of the Presence of God. Devotional Nonduality, chapter 5, S. 94, 2007

  • There are entities that do not return to God. (Calibrates as true.)
You never have to return to God. (Calibrates as true.)
You never have to become enlightened. (Calibrates as true.)
You can just keep going like this forever. (Calibrates as true.)

  • [T]here is a certain vibration frequency. When you leave the body you automatically find yourself in the realm of your own vibration because that is what you identify with and are attracted to. So that should handle the afterlife.

In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going
there to prepare a place for you.

against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in

Word of caution

  • Nowadays most people interested in the spirituality of the East desire the "experi-
ence," though they may call what they are after intimate communion with God.
Those familiar with the standards and norms of spiritual experience set down by disciplined paths like Sufism are usually appalled at the way Westerners seize upon any apparition from the domain outside of normal consciousness as a manifestation of the "spiritual." In fact, there are innumerable realms in the unseen world, some of them far more dangerous than the worst jungles of the visible world. Ibn Arabi (1165-1240) himself said:
"So preserve yourselves, my brothers, from the calamities of this place, for distinguishing it is extremely diffi-
cult! Souls find it sweet, and then within it they are duped, since they become completely enamored of it."
William Chittick, leading US American translator and interpreter of classical Islamic philosophical and mystical texts, The Sufi
Path of Knowledge. Ibn al-Arabi's Metaphysics of Imagination
, S. 263, SUNY Press, 1. June 1989

Literary quotes

Hamlet's soliloquy

To be, or not to be, that is the question explores the idea of death as an "undiscovered country."

  • But that the dread of something after death –
The undiscover'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns – puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
William Shakespeare (1564-1616) English actor, playwright, dramatist, lyricist,
character Hamlet in: tragedy Hamlet, act 3, scene 1, ~1602

  • Ghosts all! The ghost of beauty, the ghost of stateliness, the ghost of elegance, the ghost of pride, the ghost of frivolity,
the ghost of wit, the ghost of youth, the ghost of age, all waiting their dismissal from the desolate shore, all turning on
him eyes that were changed by the death they had died in coming there. Charles Dickens [Works 540] (1812-1870)
most popular English novelist of the Victorian era, A Tale of Two Cities, Chapman & Hall, London, 1859

Spirit attachments – William Baldwin

  • The condition of spirit possession, (that is, full or partial takeover of a living human by a discarnate being) has been re-
cognized or at least theorized in every era and every culture. In 90% of societies worldwide there are records of posses-
sion-like phenomena. Extensive contemporary clinical evidence suggests that discarnate beings, the spirits of deceased humans, can influence living people by forming a physical or mental connection or attachment, and subsequently impo-
sing detrimental physical and/or emotional conditions and symptoms. This condition has been called the "possession
state," "possession disorder," "spirit possession," or "spirit attachment."
Earthbound spirits, the surviving consciousness of deceased humans, are the most prevalent possessing, obsessing or attaching entities to be found. The disembodied consciousness seems to attach itself and merge fully or partially with the subconscious mind of a living person, exerting some degree of influence on thought processes, emotions, behavior and the physical body. The entity becomes a parasite in the mind of the host. [...]
Severe stress may cause susceptibility to the influence of an intrusive spirit. Altering the consciousness with alcohol
or drugs, especially the hallucinogens, loosens one's external ego boundaries and opens the subconscious mind to in-
    festation by discarnate beings. [...]
Spirit attachment does not require the permission of the host. This seems to be a violation of free will. It also appears
to refute the popular notion that each person is totally responsible for creating his or her reality and that there are no
victims. The apparent conflict here stems from the definitions of permission and free will choice. Ignorance and denial
of the possibility of spirit interference is no defense against spirit attachment. Belief or lack of belief regarding the exis-
tence of intrusive entities has no bearing on the reality of these beings and their behavior.
In denial and ignorance, most people do not refuse permission to these nonphysical intruders. Individual sovereign beings have the right to deny any violation or intrusion by another being. With limited, if any, knowledge and distorted perceptions of the nature of the spirit world, the nonphysical reality, many people leave themselves open and create their own vulnerability as part of creating their own reality. It is fashionable today among many "New Age" enthusiasts to at-
tempt to channel some higher power, a spirit teacher or master who will use the voice mechanism of any willing person
to speak "words of wisdom." Some use the terminology "for my highest good" when calling for a spirit to channel through.
This activity constitutes permission and welcome for a discarnate spirit. The identifiers such as "master" and "teacher"
and qualifiers such as "for my highest good" will be claimed by the entities as personally valid identifications, qualities
    or attributes. […]
The host is usually unaware of the presence of attached spirits. The thoughts, desires and behaviors of an attached en-
tity are experienced as the person's own thoughts, desires and behaviors. The thoughts, feelings, habits and desires do
not seem foreign if they have been present for a long time, even from childhood. This is a major factor in the widespread
denial of the concept and lack of acceptance of the phenomena of discarnate interference and spirit attachment, obses-
sion or possession. The symptoms of spirit attachment can be very subtle. An attached spirit may be present without
    producing any noticeable symptoms. [...]
A living person can have dozens, even hundreds of attached spirits, as they occupy no physical space. They can attach
to the aura or float within the aura outside the body. If any part of the body of the host has a physical weakness the earth-
bound can attach to that area because of a corresponding weakness or injury to the physical body of the spirit prior to
death. A spirit can lodge in any of the chakras of the host, drawn by the particular energy of the chakra or by the physi-
cal structures of that level of the body.
Many areas of a person's life can be influenced by one or more attached entities. In short, spirit attachment can interfere
with any aspect of the life of the unsuspecting host.
Dr. William J. Baldwin, US American counselor, therapist, exorcist, author, Spirit Releasement Therapy. A Technique Manual, 1992, Headline Books, 2nd edition June 1995

  • The openness and surrender during sexual intercourse can allow the exchange of attached entities between two people. The thoughts, desires and behaviors of an attached entity are experienced as the person's own thoughts, desires and behaviors. The thoughts, feelings, habits and desires do not seem foreign if they have been present for a long time, even from childhood. This is a major factor in the widespread denial of the concept and lack of acceptance of the phenomena
of discarnate interference and spirit attachment, obsession or possession
